The Winter

No One Live Who Is Not Free

This is the winter of our discontent.

The unmaking of a country so grand in its ideals that its premise echoes around the world still.

Pride has become a poison, wielded like a trident, to deadly effect. It is not a trident. It is a distraction from the premise and the promise that a country’s “leaders” have betrayed.

Fear not just for your own life, fear what that life would be without Freedom. You can taste the acrid rot in your mouth even now. And for a moment, a clarity emerges. A clarity that bemoans the actions of power against those who had deigned themselves Free.

The spectacle of fear that surrounds us now, is merely a preview of what is to come – for Evil knows no bounds, and laughs at all attempts to bring it to justice.

Deflection, desertion, fractional thinking, and an evolution of the mechanisms of power have brought to our own streets the horrors that we watched with saddened disgust that befell other countries. That horror is now ours.

The streets run with blood and a righteous fury. A people Betrayed.

They say the Devil’s greatest trick is to convince the people that he doesn’t exist. Here, we have now seen, in real time, with our own eyes, the fractal paradigm of power, and of evil, and how closely related they are.

We suffer now because we didn’t Listen before. We didn’t Listen because we didn’t want to Believe that we were capable of such horrors, such Evil. Other countries, alight with unquenchable fury, set ablaze the world as they live it, to escape the grasp of Doom that waits for them all. And Power, in its False Fury, strikes back, with ever increasing oppression, giving no regard for humanity’s right to exist, no quarter to Humanity’s need for Peace, Dignity, or even food.

This kind of Evil lives like a machine, consuming all that it encounters, Devils and Innocents alike, in its perpetual need to remain. For it knows that there is no going back into the box we call Law. It is a Pandora’s box, ironically. The more law is used to subjugate the people, the more the people scream for Law. And yet, it is that very notion - Law – that makes it the perfect weapon. Law – a set of ordered boundaries and perceptions, armed with remedies and parameters, intended to not only fix what has gone wrong in the past, but to prevent that wrong from returning, in new forms, in the future. And yet, here we are – in the Winter of our Discontent, because we are screaming for the one thing that has become a perfect weapon against us.

But harken now, to your own lives – and meet up in the streets, in numbers too great to ignore, like a tsunami, to surge toward the light of Dignity and Peace we had set for ourselves so long ago, and having ruled the world with it for 80 years, to begin again, the work of Freedom – the eternal vigil We left on the counter as We headed to jobs that mean nothing to us, because we have allowed ourselves to be dehumanized by those that employ us, those who have systematically deceived us.

And thus their minds are poisoned by power, by an insidious greed, invisible, but felt, in every corner of “business” – the kind of “business” that makes money not Harmony, creates riches for a few at the determined and expected detriment of the many, at the expense of Humanity itself. This is not Life, it is Slavery. A world encompassing Slavery that can only be met with an equal Rage. But this Rage, as rightful as it might be, needs both Focus and Reason to triumph.

Humanity has lost its way.

Observing the comfort with lies and deception, and now violence, that those in power now employ with a disconcerting charm, and how even one life lost to a blindness they proudly portray, waving the Law in front of us, to deceive us of what our own eyes have seen, what our own lives have lived, what our own hearts have known. Entire generations destroyed for the riches of the few. And Law wielded like a weapon, not against Evil, but by Evil.

This is a Treason they cannot erase, for they created it, and have no claim of innocence, no “just following orders” or “this is the law” excuse. It is these very “claims” or ‘”excuses” that will fuel the Rage of the People.

It is time to Remember: Freedom is a mechanism that lives within each of us, and combined with others is Unstoppable. This is what they fear most, what they have entailed all manner of Evil to keep us from using, from knowing, from Living. It is Time for the Unity of Freedom. This is the common thread of Humanity – the Need for Freedom. No one Lives who is not Free.

For we are NOT machines, and we DO NOT deserve the hand of Evil upon us. Yet it is here, for we did not Listen. It is Time to Listen, to each other, and come together to banish the Winter they bring. Let the blood of the Good among us be the fuel that keeps us going, and drives us to the actions that they will never overcome. Let the Accounting begin. For the tomorrow We yearn for will never come without it. Let the world Hear Us.
